Photographic digression: Pork on a bed of rhubarb: Sunday January 27th 2008

Of course one has to celebrate a long run in the only suitable manner…. (divinely scrumptious)

Training Run: Sunday 27th January 2008: 10.23 miles (cobbled together)

January 27, 2008

Comments: (11 Weeks… don’t ya know it) Was determined today to run a total of 10 miles . Achieved target by cobbling together 3  individual runs. Was as much a challenge of doggedness as anything else. Each run went fine. Not particularly fast but by this weekend efforts I have managed a (near) respectable total of 28 miles this week. Hardly world beating but definitely getting better. Should be able to return to a “normal” schedule next week. (he hopes)

Training run: Saturday 26th January:3.31 miles

January 27, 2008

Comments: (11 Weeks… yipes) Accompanying run to make up total mileage to 6 miles. Thus have achieved 18 miles so far this week even though I’m still not particularly well and  strength reserves are only just beginning to replenish.  (Nowhere near intended but schedule but starting to get back “on track). Also first run averaging under 8 minute miles in at least 2 weeks… great!

Training run: Saturday 26th January 2008:2.80 miles

January 27, 2008

Comments: (11 Weeks… flagging, flailing but hanging in there) Fighting  to maintain momentum in spite of obviously not having too  much energy. Its currently hard to appraise how fast I will be able to run around Paris marathon. At the moment I’m having difficulty maintaining my training schedule. None-the-less through two separate runs I did pass the 6 mile mark for the third time in  a week. Hardly impressive, but consistent and determined… (and possible)
